F-1 in action

The second round of the Dutch Championships was held at the HFCC track, The Hague. The track used to be a oval track, since a few years changed to a nice on-road track. A little bit like the real F-1 race track Indianapolis! The traction is super high on the oval but the infield a bit slippery.

In qualifing it was Jilles who took pole with a new track record with 18 laps. Second was the Orion powered XRAY from Tony Vredenberg who also improved his best time. Third was local hero Bart Wubben with his Corally.

In the finals it was Jilles who controlled the race. Tony made a mistake allowing Bart to take over second place. The Schumacher of Michael Lepelaar was now in third place.
On the end it was Jilles who took the win followed by Bart and Michael. Surprise was Orion motorman Frans Heinsbroek who finished fourth with his XRAY just in front of Tony.

In the second final it was Jilles who cruised away from the others and took home the win for XRAY. Bart finished second with a margin of a second followed by Michael.
